“Last Christmas” was written and performed by British pop duo Wham!, specifically by songwriter George Michael in 1984.

The song was created in a single day in 1984 at a studio in Switzerland while Michael and Andrew Ridgeley were taking a break from touring. George Michael wrote, performed, and produced the entire track himself, playing most of the instruments and crafting its distinctive synth-pop sound.
